# How to change the domain of a website

Sometimes, it is necessary to change the domain of a website. Here, you can see all the steps you need to do so.

1- Copy your preview: this way, it will be a Kooomo domain as its preview site is on our servers.

2- On the go-live date: this would end up on the merchant domain or some other name if there were a requirement for this.

3- From your hosting site you would need to change the Cname and A record to point to Kooomo for instance. This is where your site becomes hosted on your domain. There will likely be some work involved in migrating the URLs depending on what the final website is.
